MI-DNA Disc kick-off Meeting

The kick-off meeting of the European-funded project MI-DNA Disc was held from the 18th to the 20th of September 2023 in Wien.
It was the first occasion where the 6 partners, coming from different backgrounds and countries, could meet, get to know each other, and plan the first activities of the project.
The ambitious project aims to develop a low-cost, energy-efficient, and fast data drive that can write, edit, store, and retrieve DNA-based data compared the ongoing technologies.
This would be possible thanks to ability to drive bacteria to store and release DNA sequences driven by light stimulation.MI-DNA disc has a duration of 48 months, with a total budget of ca. 4.0 million euro funded by the European Union.
